Doctorate Programs in Germany
In Germany’s education system PhD or doctorate degree programs are the third-level degree programs. There any doctoral degree can be got in various ways
Some PhD students conduct their research work in ‘graduate colleges’ at universities or institutes according to a heavy time schedule.
Others are university or institute employees who work part-time as research or teaching fellows at any higher institute where they follow PhD program.
Some students work on their own research projects in sponsored or privately funded non-university research institutes.
While some students may have the priority of their private funds or a scholarship letting them to focus solely on their PhD, other students manage to follow their PhD work as a ‘night job’ in supplement to working on a constant job in a firm.
There are some special cases with prominent academic results, when students may be allowed to choose a PhD program with a Bachelor’s honor degree. This depends on the university, the department, the subject and sometimes on the personal academician’s views. Those aspirants, who want to follow a PhD program in German higher Institutions, are recommended to verify for the financial supports and the total admission details from the corresponding Institutes or Universities.
