Education in Belgium

This article is devoted to the education in Belgium. So many things are told about the education in the well-developed countries; however, the Belgium remains in the shade.

So, the higher education in Belgium is controlled by the two main communities - Flemish Community and the French Community. Anybody who has the diploma of secondary education is free to choose the educational institution he or she wants to be enrolled. However, if you want to become a student of such branches as medicine/dentistry, arts, or engineering sciences you have to take the enrolling examinations. However, if speaking about the medicine/dentistry fields, the examinations are only left in Flanders.

If concerning the cost of the education, one can mention that all the students are divided into three types concerning money matters. Bursary student – is a student who has applied for the financial aids. Almost bursary student – is a students who is not eligible for the financial aid, but the family has the income below €1.286, 09. Non-bursary student is the student who is non eligible to the financial aid and has the income above €1.286, 09.

The aids are given to the students by the decision of the government taking into account the financial position of the family. However, one will fail to receive more than €3300 per year.
